Halyna Skipalska is the Country Director in Ukraine for HealthRight International — a global health and human rights organization. She is also the Executive Director of the Ukrainian Foundation for Public Health. A gender expert and civil society activist working for 20 years in Ukraine’s non-governmental sphere, she has dedicated herself to building equitable access to quality health systems and human rights for marginalized populations. Halyna is actively engaged in the national reform initiatives providing specialized services for survivors of domestic violence/gender-based violence (DV/GBV), piloting and scaling up innovative nationwide models of service provision, and building capacity of local authorities, service providers, and CSOs. She graduated with honors (MPA) from the Kyiv International University, (MS) from the Lviv National State University, and is a Ph.D. fellow at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. She held fellowships with the Austrian and Swedish governments at the International Institute for Applied System Analysis (Vienna), and with UNESCO at the Technical Institute in Bielsko-Biala (Poland).
