The Harman Family Foundation (HFF) has awarded HealthRight International a grant of $50,000 to support and expand our work with unaccompanied migrant children. HealthRight International is honored to receive an award from HFF for the third consecutive year. The funds from this award will enable us to expand our clinician training to encompass online modules, provide critical forensic services to immigrant youth, and support a case management program for children and their families to ensure connection to treatment and other support services in the community. At a time when the stakes for immigrant and refugee children could not be higher, HFF’s award will enable us to build on the successes of our work serving this vulnerable population.

HealthRight International is pleased to announce that we will be partnering with lead agency, Ifakara Health, Institute to implement a recently awarded grant of $100,000 (CAD) from Grand Challenges Canada. This award will be used to address reproductive health needs of teenage girls in Tanzania. Through an innovative approach to education and outreach, we will target these young women in hair salons throughout the Kilimanjaro region. By establishing a network of peer volunteers and utilizing an interactive SMS based service, we aim to increase young women’s access to contraceptive services.
