BREAKING RECORDS AND BUILDING HOPE
On June 7, 2023, we held our 2023 Peter C. Alderman Health + Human Rights Awards, an inspiring and joyful night that truly showed how fitting our theme “It takes a Village to Give Hope” was. Though the unity of our incredible community, we raised over $440,000, an astounding sum that will bring help to countless individuals in need.
We recognized three partners whose unwavering dedication and outstanding contributions helped us make a difference in the communities we work with. We honored the First Lady of Ukraine, Mrs. Olena Zelenska, with our Health + Human Rights Leadership award in recognition of her tireless efforts to raise awareness of mental health issues and increase access to mental health services throughout Ukraine. We also honored Deloitte with the Corporate Partner Award for their contribution of approximately $500,000 in pro bono consulting services to HealthRight that supported the advancement of mission-critical operational priorities. Finally, we honored the Derner School of Psychology at Adelphi University with the Community Partner Award in recognition of the critical role they played in training young psychologists to provide essential services to asylum seekers in the tri-state area in close partnership with our Human Rights Clinic.
Thanks to our amazing supporters, this event became our most successful fundraising effort in over a decade. If you were unable to attend but would like to help us make a difference, you can still support our work.
