The forum brought together participants from various fields related to mental health maintenance and recovery: health, social protection, education, employment, and human rights. It hosted representatives from government agencies and non-governmental sector, local and international organizations, mental health service providers, and experts. Thanks to the different backgrounds of participants, the forum served as a platform fostering the exchange of experiences, identifying the most pressing issues in mental health care, and finding innovative solutions to address them. Our HealthRight Ukraine and the Ukrainian Foundation for Public Health (a HealthRight international subsidiary) team had the opportunity to present the models of two projects they have been successfully implementing for several years at the forum’s marketplace.
🟠 Olga Lopushanska (picture: right photo, middle), Project Coordinator for HealthRight International in Ukraine and the Ukrainian Foundation for Public Health, showcased to colleagues and partners the models of HealthRight Day Centers and Halfway Houses, the projects implemented with support from World Vision International.
🟣 The team of the project, implemented in partnership with FHI 360, presented project developments and achievements of launching Brave&Safe response and care integrated units in the South and East of Ukraine. They shared informational materials about the centers and best models for helping war-affected Ukrainians with forum participants.
On the forum’s first day, leaders of integrating MHPSS into the primary health system received awards. Halyna Odyntsova, director of the Dnipro primary health facility №9, where our integrated center operates, was among the awardees. In addition, our teams attended workshops, presentations, panel discussions, and speeches given by remarkable guests and experts.📍 Forum organizers: the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, World Health Organization Ukraine.
