Peter Ofware Peter has over 15+ years of experience in strategic leadership in public health and development, and a long record of guiding and cultivating local, national and multi-national partnerships/consortia.
Previously, at Amref Health Africa and ADHRC, Peter provided strategic leadership and planning in developing, designing and delivery of successful Reproductive, Maternal, Child and Adolescent health and nutrition programs. He supported Malaria/TB/HIV, Health Systems Strengthening and Child Protection programs. While at the CDC Center for Global Health in Kenya, Peter set up the Health and Demographic Surveillance Systems (HDSS), coordinated the expansion of the HDSS into the larger Siaya County, and led in the expansion of home-based HIV testing, care and treatment across Kenya.
Peter is thankful that HealthRight will give him the opportunity to conduct work about which he is passionate, especially improving the lives of women and children living in marginalized communities.
Peter holds BA and MA degrees in Medical Anthropology from the University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Management from the Open University, UK. He also completed an International Course in Applied Epidemiology at Emory University.
