Maria is a Program Support Intern for women and children’s health at HealthRight. Maria Svensson has a BA in Human Rights and an MSc in International Development and Management from Lund University, Sweden. She has conducted research on conditional cash transfers to Highland students in Cambodia, and the students’ understanding of how the CCT promoted educational participation. She has previously had internships with Save the Children Sweden, UNICEF Cambodia, and with rehabilitation centers for children living on the street in Uganda. Maria has experience working within the nonprofit sector, as Coordinator for Information and Recruitment of Volunteers for Victim Support in Helsingborg, Sweden. In the future, she hopes to work with the promotion of children’s rights.
