HIV Prevention Care and Support: The Evidence Based Targeted HIV Prevention (EBT Prev) Program is increasing adoption of safer sexual behaviuor among the Most at Risk Populations (MARPS) and Key Populations. It is also increasing access to continuum care through establishment of: 1 Referral Hubs in health facilities where clients are referred; 2. HIV Testing Sites in rural and hard to reach areas;  3 Support in scaling up of ART Services in the rural Health facilities in Namwera by training Nurses and Medical staff in administering ARTs;  4. 33 People Living with HIV Support Groups that have a total membership of 1200 people who are championing activities aimed at addressing HIV related Stigma and Discrimination and promoting positive living. 5. Established Sputum Collection Points and trained volunteers who collect specimen from clients during TB screening and take to Health facilities for testing. For those tested positive are referred for treatment and this prevents unnecessary delays.

The HIV Prevention Care and Support has contributed significantly in the reduction of prevalence rate in Mangochi from 17% to around 8%.

Early Childhood Development: The fundamental purpose of early childhood development is to prepare the young children for life. On the other hand, inadequate child care, poor nutrition, non-stimulating environment, family stress and other risk factors in early childhood years can result in school dropout, unemployment, and high delinquency rate. Any positive change during early childhood years can produce long term social benefits. NACC is working with 135 ECD Centres in Mangochi and serving 9566 children aged 3 to 5 years. In promoting Nurturing Care, NACC is working with 350 Primary Caregivers reaching out to 390 children aged below 2 years.

Livelihood: In improving household economic and social status of vulnerable groups, NACC is supporting Microfinance initiatives such as Village Banking, Pass on Loans, Livestock Management and irrigation farming services.

Systems Strengthening: Realizing that availability of social services such as health facilities, Schools, Courts and other facilities does not grantee utilization, NACC is working with policy holders and service users to identify barriers to utilization of services through Comprehensive Community Scorecard and Social accountability. Community and district inter face meetings are held to address the challenges. We established District and Community Technical Working Groups.
